• Scope of works: 1000 seat covered stadium, extensive player and club facilities, commercial tenancy spaces, offices, media facilities, commercial kitchen, piazza area and internal roadworks and carparking.

• Challenges: Earlier designs costs were estimated to significantly exceed available budget risking the viability of the project. A full redesign would have significantly prolonged the project duration and costs.
• How we overcame the challenges: A thorough assessment of the project requirements and relevant standards allowed for the scale and cost of the project to be reduced while maintaining the key aspects for patrons and players. The two-stage design and construct procurement approach allowed for novel solutions for design. The inclusion of commercial tenancies along with competitive main contractor tenders created a beneficial revenue and saving to the client.
